Authentic communication

HEAR ME ROAR

Roar as the laughter grew,

giggles echoed in every room.

Roar, the laughter grew stronger.

Who could it be?

Thought mom to herself.

ROAR rolled freely.

ROAR amplified once more,

the giggles continued,

Uncontrollably.

“ROAR”, said the little boy,

Labeled “nonverbal”

As he finds his own voice.

Roar, once more

his little sister is filled with glee.
